IGAD Regional Liaison Officer

Purpose

To represent Damot's interests within the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) framework, aligning Group projects with regional infrastructure and humanitarian logistics agendas.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic Alignment: Monitor IGAD policies, infrastructure master plans, and humanitarian logistics corridors to identify business opportunities for Damot.
• Networking & Advocacy: Build and maintain relationships with IGAD secretariat officials, member state representatives, and affiliated development partners.
• Project Facilitation: Assist in navigating regional bureaucratic processes for cross-border infrastructure or humanitarian supply chain projects.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in International Relations, Development Studies, or Public Policy
• 7+ years in regional diplomacy, liaison, or development sector roles within the Horn of Africa/East Africa

Performance indicators

• IGAD project alignment
• Djibouti corridor transit efficiency
• Number of strategic partnerships/MOUs facilitated with IGAD entities: ≥ 2 per year
• Successful alignment of Group projects with IGAD funding/priority frameworks
