Purpose

To protect and enhance the Group's reputation, manage strategic communications, and build robust relationships with government entities, regulators, and industry bodies.

Key responsibilities

  • Government Relations: Act as the primary liaison with ministries, regulatory agencies (e.g., ERCA, KRA), and EAC/IGAD secretariats to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Corporate Communications: Manage the Group's brand identity, press releases, internal communications, and crisis communication protocols.
  • Stakeholder Mapping: Maintain a dynamic database of key stakeholders and develop engagement strategies to support business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, or Law
  • 8+ years in corporate affairs, public relations, or government relations within East Africa

  • Stakeholder relationship health
  • CSR program delivery 100%
  • 1% Net Profit CSR allocation positively impacting public perception across 4 nations
  • Crisis response readiness
  • Positive Media & Brand Sentiment: ≥ 90%
  • Crisis Response Time: < 2 hours for critical incidents
  • Successful facilitation of key regulatory approvals/licenses
