Country Manager

Purpose

To act as the Chief Executive for Damot's in-country operations, holding full accountability for the country's P&L, regulatory compliance, and operational delivery across all local Business Units.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic & Financial Leadership: Own the country P&L; drive revenue growth aligned with the $150M Group target; act as joint signatory for local CAPEX and operational contracts up to first-tier thresholds.
• Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with local statutory filings (e.g., ERCA, KRA, URA, NSS); maintain all local business licenses and operational permits.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee local logistics, HR, and IT; ensure seamless integration between the Country Hub and local Construction/Manufacturing BUs.
• Stakeholder Management: Represent Damot to government ministries, tax authorities, and local industry associations; foster relationships with local TVET institutions.

Qualifications

• Master's in Business, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years senior country management experience in East Africa
• Deep knowledge of local corporate/tax law and EAC trade protocols
