Customs & AEO Compliance Lead

Purpose

Secure and maintain Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status in Kenya and Uganda; ensure <48hr clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage AEO applications and compliance audits.
• Oversee customs brokerage teams.
• Resolve complex customs holds and expedite UN humanitarian cargo.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law, International Trade, or Supply Chain
• 8+ years East African customs compliance
• Strong existing relationships with local revenue authorities

Performance indicators

• AEO status maintained in KE/UG
• Average customs clearance < 48 hrs
• Zero penalty incidents
