Group Chief Operating Officer (Group COO)

Purpose

To oversee the operational delivery of all Business Units (Construction, Logistics, Manufacturing, Import-Export, Consultancy, Human Power), ensuring cross-BU synergy, operational excellence, and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: Direct Country Managers and BU Heads; ensure seamless integration of the 40% internal supply chain mandate.
• Performance Management: Drive operational KPIs (e.g., 92% on-time project delivery, 85% plant capacity utilization, <48hr customs clearance).
• Process Optimization: Champion Lean/Six Sigma, BIM adoption, and Cloud ERP utilization across all operational touchpoints.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, or Business
• 15+ years in operational leadership, managing multi-disciplinary BUs in East Africa
• Strong KPI/SOP management background
